Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Serenity Begins

  • Highlights: Meet your guide at Paro International Airport and take a scenic drive to Thimphu. Stop at the Tachog Lhakhang Bridge and monastery en route. Settle into the luxurious Six Senses Thimphu, known as the "Palace in the Sky."

  • Experience: Evening mindfulness session with a Lama at the resort's Prayer Pavilion, focusing on grounding and relaxation.

Day 2: Exploring Thimphu’s Spiritual and Cultural Heart

  • Morning: Visit Buddha Dordenma, a massive golden statue overlooking the valley, and Motithang Takin Preserve to learn about Bhutan’s national animal.

  • Afternoon: Explore the National Textile Museum and engage in a weaving workshop with local artisans.

  • Evening: Private astrology reading at Pangri Zampa Monastic School, followed by a candlelit dinner featuring local delicacies.

Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha – Crossing Dochula Pass

  • Morning: Begin with a meditative session at Changangkha Lhakhang, then drive through the breathtaking Dochula Pass with its 108 chortens. Stop for a tea ceremony with views of the Himalayas.

  • Afternoon: Arrive in Punakha and visit Chimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility. Relax with a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath at Six Senses Punakha.

Day 4: Discovering Punakha’s Beauty

  • Morning: Yoga overlooking the valley followed by a guided tour of Punakha Dzong. Enjoy a gourmet riverside picnic.

  • Afternoon: Gourmet picnic by the Mo Chhu River, followed by a hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten for panoramic views of rice terraces. Visit local farmers to learn about ara (rice wine) preparation.

  • Evening: Participate in a private blessing ceremony with monks and end the day with a Farm-to-table dinner with local rice wine.

Day 5: Journey to Bumthang

  • Morning: Drive to Bumthang, the cultural heart of Bhutan, stopping at Trongsa Dzong along the way.

  • Afternoon: Arrive in Bumthang and explore Jakar Dzong.

  • Evening: Evening bon fire with storytelling session on Bhutanese legends and myths.

Day 6: Spiritual Exploration in Bumthang

  • Morning: Visit Kurjey Lhakhang and Jambay Lhakhang, visit the renowned Mebar Tsho the burning lake and other significant sites.

  • Afternoon: Learn about Bhutanese traditional weaving and traditional paper making at a artisanal workshops and engage in traditional bhutanese paintings. 

  • Evening: Candlelit meditation session at a nearby temple along with star gazing and optional luxury camping.

Day 7: Return to Paro

  • Morning: Fly from Bumthang to Paro (if available) or drive back with scenic stops.

  • Afternoon: Check into Zhiwa Ling Heritage and relax with a tension-soothing massage and hot stone bath.

  • Evening: Dinner by the fireplace with traditional live music or candle lit dinner overlooking the majestic Drugyel Dzong.

Day 8: Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery

  • Morning: Embark on a guided hike to Taktsang Monastery, with meditation at the monastery.

  • Evening: Visit the Namgay Artisanal Brewery to experience Bhutanese craft beers or take a walk along Paro town for some handicraft shopping. End the day with a relaxing Traditional Bhutanese Massage and optional Hot stone bath at the resort.

Day 9: Indulge in Bhutanese Rituals 

  • Morning: Explore Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples. Light butter lamps for blessings of wisdom and participate in a Tshewang blessing ceremony believed to be for long life. 

  • Afternoon: Learn about Bhutanese cooking, preparing your own lunch and enjoying it by the river. after Lunch visit the Paro Dzong followed by the National Museum.

  • Evening: Farewell dinner with traditional dances and remembrance gifts from YANG Bhutan Tours & Travels.

Day 10: Departure from Paro

  • Morning: Reflect on your journey with a final meditation session. Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
